This Book Project
I am so thrilled to be a part of a vibrant community of provocative thinkers! The authors that heeded the call to gather, share their thoughts and expose themselves in a conversation that challenges one of the cornerstones of our culture are courageous and engaged. They walk their talk.
Reconsidering parenting in a new context, as a key process in our evolution as opposed to simply equipping children for survival in our current world, refocuses us on the potential and possibility the future holds. It demands a new and expanded worldview. Louise LeBrun, founder of WEL-Systems Institute® and creator of the WEL-Systems body of knowledge offers us all a new perspective on the world we inhabit. From this expanded worldview, a new conversation about parenting for evolution has emerged.
This book project would not have been possible without the context created by WEL-Systems. Beyond the development of this ground-breaking body of work, Louise has entered this project as a hands-on co-creator, sharing her expertise as an editor, a sounding board, and tireless champion for change. Her capacity to create new worlds and hold sacred space for them as they emerge added the magical alchemy to this process and I, for one, can’t thank her enough for the legacy she has made possible.
We must take an active role in the legacy we are passing on to future generations. We can’t make a difference in our world, the world we are passing on to our children, until we begin letting go of our past and embracing our emerging future. We must trust our capacity to shape our destiny and teach our children to do the same. In this way we become the Guardians of the Vision.
It begins with each of us. We are the ones to make a difference in our world by choosing to become more than our past, by taking action in this moment to embrace our birthright of unlimited potential and offering our guardianship to the children of our world so that they can move forward without questioning their capacity to shape the world.
